National Lake Rescue Institute, Uganda, East Africa - maritime safety, search and rescue, environmental protection Lake Victoria





		Following many months of hard work we have now received our letter of recognition from the Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, confirming our collaboration with the EAC in terms of implementing joint activities, namely, training, education in search and rescue (SAR) operations and coordination, the improvement of maritime safety, environmental protection and the development of regional SAR operations capability. We would like to thank the Governments of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and the members of the EAC Secretariat for their support to date and their commitment in collaboration with Lake Rescue to the improvement SAR capability and the safety of navigation on Lake Victoria.
